How they play

Playing style

Linda Nosková plays an aggressive baseline game powered by a big first serve averaging over 160 km/h and solid, deep-placing forehand and backhand groundstrokes that she hits with pace and precision, allowing her to dictate points from the backcourt. Her unreadable serve and ability to hit winners from both wings make her dangerous against top players, though she mixes in net approaches for variety. This power-oriented style thrives on fast surfaces like hard courts but requires consistent second serves to avoid vulnerability.

Serve
Nosková possesses a powerful first serve topping 162 km/h on average with good placement anywhere in the box, generating 7-8 aces per match. Her second serve is solid but less dominant, occasionally leading to double faults when pressured.
Groundstrokes
She strikes clean, heavy groundstrokes off both wings with depth and spin, using her forehand as a primary weapon for flat pace and her backhand for angles and defense-to-offense transitions.
Movement
Athletic and quick for her 5'10\" frame, Nosková covers the court well on faster surfaces, showing improved speed from preseason fitness work, though she prefers hard courts over clay where defense is tested more.
Weakness
Her second serve lacks significant pace or kick, making it vulnerable to aggressive returns, as seen in matches with high double fault counts like 15 against Muchová. Opponents exploit this by pressuring her delivery and attacking early.
