About
Born in Warsaw and coached for years by her father Tomasz, Iga Swiatek announced herself by winning the 2020 Roland Garros aged 19, the youngest singles champion at the event since 1992. She has built one of the most dominant clay-court records of the modern era and reached world No. 1 in 2022, holding the position for over 100 weeks across multiple stints. Her sports-psychology partnership with Daria Abramowicz remains one of the most influential off-court relationships on tour.

Playing style
A heavy-topspin baseliner who turns clay points into one-way traffic. The forehand is the engine, buggy-whip motion, RPMs north of 3,500, and the lefty cross-court is a structural advantage against right-handers. Footwork is excellent, especially behind her backhand wing, and her ability to flatten the forehand on faster surfaces is a key reason she has won majors on three different surfaces.
